Have you ever cooked with beer?  Do you have a whole chicken laying around your kitchen?  Try this comfort food over the weekend…

Beer Can Chicken

What you need:

Beer Can Chicken holder from Wal-Mart
Season All Spice
3 ½ to 4 lb Chicken

Cooking Instructions:

Wash and pat dry. Cover the chicken with Season All. Place the chicken on top of ½ can of beer in the provided holder. Place in a dish with a little water. Bake @350 for 1-2 hours. Temperature should be 180 degrees in the thigh. Skin should be a dark brown.  Slice and Enjoy with a cold Budweiser

does it matter what kind of beer you use? im partial to keystone light.. but im worried that a light beer might be too flavorless

Im going to make this with redstripe 16 oz cans…. Little jamaican chicken – YEssss , can you get drunk off the chicken?

You do NOT need a contraption from Wal-Mart to make Beer-Up-The-Ass chicken! Please safe yourself a trip to that godawful place and save your money too. Spend the money that you save on some brown sugar, which makes for a better rub, or some side dishes such as potato salad.

If you do get drunk from this it means you did not cook it long enough, and therefore you will get salmonella too.
