Not Your Mother’s Chicken Soup

Written by cnoonz on August 21st, 2009 · 58 views

Everyone is familiar with the old adage, “it tastes like chicken”.  A person can hear the phrase being used to compare the tastes of foods such as alligator or frog.  Well, a group of clever Jamaicans have taken the taste of chicken to an all new level.  Abstracting a lesser known version of Rooster from Old English, they have made this polygamous chicken into a soup.

After all, who doesn’t like cock?

Tomato Soup & Grilled Cheese

This recipe is very easy and tastes great to re-heat the next day for leftovers.

1 can of Campbell’s Tomato Soup

1 can of milk or cream

¾ cup of cheddar cheese

¼ cup of onions

2 medium zucchinis

Place 1 tbs of butter in the bottom of a pot.  Sauté the onions and the zucchini for about 7 minutes.  Add the soup and the cup of milk.  Cook on low heat for about 15 minutes then add the cheese.  Wait for the cheese to melt into the soup.  Serve with a grilled cheese sandwich.

*optional, can add any fresh vegetables you like such as green bean or squash

This is what happens to kids whose parents do not provide sugar cereals as a part of childhood. Now I am a monster… monster mixes:

1/3 cup Sweetened Condensed Milk

2 15 oz. cans of Fruit Cocktail

3 Maraschino Cherries

The monster fills a bowl 1/3 full of ambrosia mixture. Season with Fruity Pebbles to taste. If being served to children under 10, serve with sugar bowl and large spoon.

[Bland Soup] Campbell’s Select Harvest New England Clam Chowder

98% fat free in this case also implies that this soup is 98% tasteless. Food experts find that only 2% of this soup contains clam chowder while the other 98% consists of watered down cream-like substance. At first one might guess that the clams possibly sunk to the bottom of the cup but after further research experts only find more cream-like substance. This soup could be comparable to heating up a glass of milk, tossing in chunks of bread to be absorbed and heavily salting. Don’t buy this soup unless you enjoy extremely boring flavors.
