[Review] Dunkin’ Donuts Chicken Parmesan Flatbread

Written by on September 4th, 2009 · 865 views

chix-parm

Just by looking at it, Foodenator knew it would be a 6 – The Dunkin’ Donuts Chicken Parmasan Flatbread sandwich. On taste alone the dd chix parm delivered. On looks, it didn’t look so hot to a tender eye.

This flatbread is made up of a chicken patty, a top piece of flat bread, melted parmesan cheese (could have fooled me, looked and tasted like mozzarella), marinara sauce, and a bottom piece of flat bread. First thing noticed when unwrapping was the bread was not exactly flat, it was moist and bent – dissapointing. The chicken patty looked out of place sandwiched between the top and bottom flat bread. The bread is triangles and the chix patty is ovalish. The melted mystery cheese was in effect melted and had a great consistency.

First bite and Foodenator was impressed. The whole package went down easy. Paired with a dd iced tea with nothing in it, makes an entire meal. Recommended

Not Your Mother’s Chicken Soup

Written by on August 21st, 2009 · 223 views

Everyone is familiar with the old adage, “it tastes like chicken”.  A person can hear the phrase being used to compare the tastes of foods such as alligator or frog.  Well, a group of clever Jamaicans have taken the taste of chicken to an all new level.  Abstracting a lesser known version of Rooster from Old English, they have made this polygamous chicken into a soup.

After all, who doesn’t like cock?

Tomato & Fresh Mozzarella Salad

Written by on June 30th, 2009 · 9,887 views

This is a great recipe for the summer when you have a lot of extra tomatoes. The recipe is also very light and you can adjust the spices for your taste.

1. Thinly slice a tomato and then cut each slice into four section
2. Place tomato on a plate and sprinkle lightly with garlic powder and salt
3. Chopped up fresh basil and sprinkle across the tomatoes
4. Take the ball of fresh mozzarella and cut approximately half into small, thin slices and place on top of tomatoes
5. Use a very small amount of balsamic vinegar & olive oil on top

[Post Phish][Late Night] Domino’s Pasta Bowls

Written by on June 1st, 2009 · 880 views

Foodenator had the opportunity to dabble in Pasta Bowls from Domino’s late last evening, after the Phish Show. Does pasta bowl go well after nitrus consumption, apparently. Is it a good mix with ‘shrooms, yep. Can you dine on pasta bowl post eating tainted brownies, mmhmm. Foodenator devoured the pasta bowls
dominos pasta bowl
Four Pasta bowls, one sausage and marinara, one chicken alfredo, and dos chicken carbonaras were delivered to Foodenator’s Phish at Fenway after party. They were all delicious, Carbonara being the highlight. The sausage pasta bowl could have used better sausage and more sausage. The chicken in the pasta bowls was white and tasty. Bread bowl in which the Pasta was delivered in was better than anyone at Foodenator expected. Overall, an eater really cannot go wrong with pasta bowls from Domino’s

Classiest Snack Food Ever! Ants on a Log

Written by on May 28th, 2009 · 9,529 views

I have recently attended events ranging from cocktail parties, inaugural balls and the office break room fiesta where they were serving Ants on a Log. I have often wondered how to make this complex snack food. After months of testing different recipes, the staff at Foodenator has devised the perfect Ants on a Log recipe.

1. Select a fresh crisp batch of celery and cut into 6 inch long pieces
2. Spread a layer of peanut butter down the middle of the celery
3. Top off with raisin for the “ant” effect
4. Place on your best silver platter and serve with white glovesraisin-ants

[Pizza Delivery] The 2nd Domino’s Fiery Hawaiian Pizza, XL

Written by on May 26th, 2009 · 9,784 views

fiery hawaiian It was late night Sunday this past weekend when Foodenator had the opportunity to eat one of Domino’s Signature Pizzas, the Fiery Hawaiian. Once again, Foodenator used the excellent Domino’s online pizza tracker.

Note: Foodenator mentions ’2nd’ in the article title because we reviewed the 2nd Fiery Hawaiian Pizza. The first pizza was mishandled immediately upon receiving it from the delivery man. The first pizza ended up outside of the box on the floor. Note to Foodenator readers: handle pizza box properly to avoid destroyed pizza.

The pizza has a mix of toppings that no other pizza has ever had, ever. Naturally Foodenator was excited as can be.

Fiery Hawaiian consists of the following: with sliced ham, smoked bacon, juicy pineapple, roasted red peppers, jalapenos, Original TABASCO® brand Pepper Sauce, provolone cheese, mozzarella cheese on a cheesy Parmesan crust.

After one devastating blow (the loss of the 1st Fiery Hawaiian) it seemed like last Sunday could be the worst Sunday of 2009. After a full 48 min of waiting after the 1st Pizza crash landed on the floor, the same delivery guy was back, with the same pizza, the XL Fiery Hawaiian. It was outstanding. Nothing more needs to be said.

Total money spent to actually eat the Fiery Hawaiian: $50 plus including 2 tips.

[Nuts] The Tasty Pistachio

Written by on May 20th, 2009 · 174 views

Foodenator eats more than it is possible to eat. This occurs often when eating pistachios. Foodenator does not hold a pistachio eating Guinness Record, yet. How does foodenator view pistachios
pistachios
Pistachios require a little bit of work from the eater. Foodenator doesn’t find that appealing in a food. But all the work pays off in the end. During most pistachio openings, a pistachio nut is discovered. These pistachio nuts have a very refined taste. A pistachio is a really solid nut.
